Anyone who has (or wants) pictures on the internet: What features do you want in a gallery website?

I currently run one of the pic hosting sites here (see sig). And there's a few things I need to do to it. Before I go to work on it, I'd like to ask you for your input: What would you like to see added to the site?

automatic thumbnailing to a common size

I just posted some pictures of where I work on another forum and if you click on the link in the lower left hand side of the page http://john.globaleyes.com/gallery/equipment it will take you to the software's page that i'm too lazy to lookup myself. Its nice software and all features that would be welcome in a gallery website I think.

One thing I hate about most photo album sites, they're normally too damn graphically intensive, keep the interphase as quick-loading as possible

Wow, cool! I wish i knew about this before i posted all the halloween pics for the ATOT... So what's the size limit for users? Thanks for the service man!

Default limit is 5mb, but I can set it to whatever I want if someone needs more space.

Also: I'm adding support for uplaoding zipfiles right now (uplaod one zipfile and all the images in it will be automatically extracted to the gallery). I thought that'd be an important feature.

Ability to prioritize images by size/date/name.

It's perfect! I'm using it now. The only thing i ran into is that i couldn't change a description without deleting the entire file, then reuploading it... Did i miss something? Otherwise, tiptop mate!

That's one of the things I'm planning on adding.


The zip file upload works now (at least kinda, consider it beta....)

I have the captions, I need to work on the prioritization.
