I received my Glaciator the other day, and I finally got around to putting my new system together. Did you find that the clip was EXTREMELY easy to attach to the ziff socket? It almost seemed like there was very little effort involved to attach it. I must manhandle, and use a screwdriver to get my Taisol CGK760 on, lol.

I agree....I bought one just to try it out (as I always seem to have to do lol) and I was a little worried actually about how easy it seemed to clip on! Made me wonder how good it would do and how tight it was.......;)

Well, the clip on my PEP66 was very easy too. The performance of that HFS was rather dissapointing IMO so...

Does this HSF allow you to o/c higher than your Taisol? Sorry, but your temps as realised on the KK266's built in thermistor aren't valid--the bead doesn't even touch the chip! :|

If the [Glaciator] is doing a better job you will be able to run at the same speed as before stable with lower voltage. This is, of course, if you're not running at the wall already!

From what I'm seeing, much beyond 1.6 GHz requires water cooling. Unless you don't mind sitting next to a pc that's about as loud as a vacuum cleaner which is ridiculous!

Cheers!

Yes it does seem easy but i think that has to do with the designe and the size of the part you push down on its bigger then most. What I care more about is how it cools and it seems to be cooling bigtime for me

Well, to be honest, I just did some checking and it doesn't seem to be doing any better than my CAK38! 32 with the CAK38 and 32 with the Glaciator........
