I ordered a canon sd630 this morning around 10:30 am est.

The order showed a status of packed around 5:00-6:00pm est.

On the ZZF website it says that when it is in packed status you should receive a tracking number by the end of the day.

Can someone tell me what THEIR end of the day is? i realize that they are on the west coast, but do not know how late Fedex makes their pickups.

I wanted to get this camera in before this long 4th of july weekend, hopefully it shows up.

OH and I paid for 2 day shipping.
 
It took them over a week to ship my stuff last time...I also got two day shipping...it did come in two days once it shipped.

Well I probably won't be around on Monday if my plans to go out of town work out so if it doesn't ship today I probably won't get it by Friday.

But i've still got my S2 IS to take pics.

how long was it in packed status?

They do say on the site that certain items can take longer to process. I would assume a digicam would be fairly simple to send out.
 
Sometimes they will ship before updating the account info.

From what I understand... they have the carriers come to pick stuff up daily and if it is ready, it will ship. They might not update account info immediately.

I have been shopping with them since they were GoogleGear.com and it has happened to me more than once.

 
Yeah I am assuming that is the case. It would make perfect sense for there to be a bit of time before the site gets updated.
So far I like ZZF. Have mainly shopped at Newegg as of late but since newegg has raised shipping prices (at least it seems that way) their prices really aren't the best in a lot of things.
But if I need something quick I go to newegg because I usually get their packages on the next day even on standard shipping.

I shopped at Newegg when they first came out.

but their prices are not the cheapest anymore and their shipping is too high. Added to the fact that i must pay sales tax in NJ, they cost a lot more than other places.

Today, I got delivered some laptop RAM. Bottom line prices was $10 cheaper at ZZP and that was AFTER I added extra money for 2nd day shipping.

And I have had contact with them via phone from time to time. They have always seemed like super nice ppl.

Have either of you considered that they are closed at 8:30 est? Might rule out calling them.
I think some people on here just want to find some way to bash others that all logical thought goes out the window.
 
If it doesn't go out today then it should go out tomorrow.
I rarely have ZZF not ship out the package the same day if I order it in the early morning est time.
The only bad thing is I have to go with 2day shipping since all their stuff comes from CA. Not a biggie, because 2day is only $2 more. 😀
The best service is www.outpost.com I don't know how they do it, but I can order it in the early evening (est time) and they still manage to ship it out (from Ohio). :Q
Wait a bit longer and check on the status, because they never update the order status fast enough.

Hopefully you put 2day unless you don't mind the wait.

I actually did choose 2 day, how can you not for only 1.99? I also was hoping it would help since I'm on the east coast too.
I ordered a router from outpost a few years ago and I have to agree that it got here FAST for standard shipping.
 
Tracking numbers will update around 9:00EST seeing that your in VA

Around 6:00CST Fedex picks up the packages

Def goes out today... just wait another hour
