Anyone watercool a Core 2??

If so what watercooling kit/components (bloack, rad, pump) are you using??

How is your overclock doing? What volts? Load temperatures?? What temperatures does CoreTemp show?

Thanks for any info.

I haven't gotten a Core 2 yet but wanted to mention that, usually, low/mid-range watercooling doesn't perform much better than high-end air cooling and is significantly more expensive.

What kind of radiator do you recommend?

i have the Thermaltake Big Water SE and my core 2 duo e6300 over clocked to 3.0 gigs stays at 38 degrees celcius and i really like it!! it works great....plus its not very expensive and really helps my temps

Where are you reading the temperatures from? WHat volts are you using?

reading from core temp..when under full load it jumps to about 43 degrees....my core voltage is 1.485 i think im not for sure

What the heck?? Are you serious, that's amazingly low. CoreTemp for me even at IDLE is at 50 degrees at 3.4GHz @ 1.375v on the E6400 with my Gigabyte Galaxy(1/2inch ID tubing) watercooling kit. It jumps to about 62 degrees at load.

I seriously don't know what's up. The Gigabyte kit did pretty well and beat the Thermaltake kit in a watercooling kit roundup that XBitlabs did so I don't know why mine is performing poorly.

You have any suggestions??

i dont know...ive actually have found that if the water circulates slower you have better coolling...it has better heat pick up and cooling ability...but maybe that is just me...also have you checked your thermal paste?? when i first did it i didnt put it on very well and it sucked but now after i did some checking it worked alot better...i put about a bead the size of a quarter of an inch in the center and place my heat sink on it...it really works well...try that it that doesnt help try getting another radiator for it and see if it helps with cooling
