It's heartbreaking. Hannity is interviewing a group of local business people who have had their lives upended last week. Businesses burned down to the ground. Employees out of work. Lives ruined.

Where were the National Guard?

The people who were looting and burning down businesses are criminals. The business owners on Hannity's show are mostly black. These aren't white owners.

50 National Guard should have been put in front of each businesses. What's sad is small business owners took the brunt of the riots.

Target wasn't burned down.
Walmart wasn't burned down.

My parents were small business owners for 25-30 years. I know how difficult it is to be a business owner. You pour your blood, sweat and tears into your business. It's very hard work with long hours.

Finally, Obama doesn't have a backbone. He's so worried that he's going to upset people that he always takes the muddle ground. Charles Barkley's response was blunt and correct.

It has nothing to do with big government, it has everything to do with the local law enforcement not protecting their citizens. They reacted way too harshly before and were criticized and decide to do nothing this time and it bit them in the ass.

They don't really care about those small business owners, because they lump them in the same camp as the big corporate thugs. Doesn't matter if their livelihood is ruined. There's a culture of entitlement in these communities. If they want something, they take it. To hell with the repercussions, because society owes a debt to them. I want those cigars, I'm taking them, you owe me. I don't want to go to school, you owe me. Take care of my illegitimate children, you owe me. Pay me money for sitting on my ass all day, you owe me. The naive socialists eat this bullshit up like it's chocolate ice cream. At best they're enabling this behavior, at worst profiting off it. Everybody loses in the end.

It's not to say that policing in America doesn't have issues, and there aren't bad/trigger happy cops out there. It's a big issue that needs to be tacked. Especially in the post 9/11, post PATRIOT ACT world. However, taking your anger with the cops out on innocent people makes you the greater villain.

Yup, same thing happened in LA. Cops stay away because they are the target, leaving the law abiding to fend for themselves. The only stores that didnt get hit were owners posted on roofs with AK47s. When guns are eventually regulated to the point of equivalent bans in CA, I shudder to think what will happen if a mass looti...er riot happens again.

Sorry, no we recognize that the really bad corporate entities like Walmart come in and undercut small business owners until they go out of business which is bad for the community in general. However, people don't care in general because they're saving and long term thinking isn't something that is valued very much in today's society.

Meanwhile conservatives are happy to push for more tax breaks for these "job creators" who have no compunction about paying their workers so little they qualify for Federal benefits. Then conservatives conveniently ignore the fact that the taxpayer subsidizes the labor expenses of companies like Walmart by supporting the workers who need those benefits...



The issue that needs to be corrected is the fact that a local DA who works with the local Ferguson police department guided the grand jury to the conclusion he wanted them to reach. In police shootings like the one in Ferguson there should be an investigation by law enforcement officers who don't know the people in the Police Department involved and a DA from way out of town should convene the grand jury to determine if an indictment is called for.

Your second article highlights this reporting problem perfectly. The claim was that Michael Brown was originally stopped for jaywalking. 1. He wasn't stopped and was told to get back on the sidewalk. 2. He was walking down the middle of the fucking road like he owned the world. 3. He had just robbed a store. Had he listened he would have been just fine, but no, he had to be a badass.

But no, some fucking liberal reporter has to make it seem like this was just another police harassment. Just part of the narrative that excuses and supports poor behavior.
