I'm going to my friends' house to watch it Saturday night. They have some gigantor TV and always get the UFC fights.

Really looking forward to GSP vs. Hughes. I hope Georges knocks him the fvck out. He's a much more exciting fighter IMO.

Sylvia is the George Foreman of the UFC. Everything he does is kinda herky-jerky and unorthodox, but he's simply a massive man with huge heavy hands. He's also deceptively quick for someone his size. He's more of a spectacle to me that someone I'd actually go out of my way to see fight...

Hey, what's happening guys? The UFC sucks. :p :)

j/k. I guess most people know how I feel about the UFC so I really won't go there. All I'll say is I won't pay $40 to watch the UFC, but I hope GSP beats Matt Hughes.

<- Can't stand Matt Hughes.

heh when he throws a punch of kick it looks like it takes a while to land. whenever he knocks someone out i yell "WTF that punch/kick took like 5 minutes to get to him! and he couldnt dodge that!"

he is so tall and his punches kicks look terrible that it looks slow. but damn they do some damage when they land.

he really does not look as if he should be a ufc fighter.
though one of the best matches i have seen was him vs cabbage. man cabbage took a beating and still did good.

The welterweigh division's massive amount of talent is the only thing keeping Pride Fighting Championships from running over the UFC into the US market.

The top 5+ guys in the other weight classes of Pride could DOMINATE their UFC champion counterparts like silva, sylvia, and liddel.

The Buffalo Wild Wings near me is going to be showing the fight. I'm there.

And about Sylvia, LMAO. Every time I see the guy fight it cracks me up. Yeah, he's a big, tough guy but damn he's the clumsiest looking oaf ever to step in the octagon.

I'd like to see Sakara again (plus he has the best tattoos ever). I don't like Stevenson. I really hope we get to see Diaz on the PPV but I'm not that hopeful. And the Mir vs Vera should technically be for the #1 contender in the HW division, esp if Vera wins.

Vera has looked really impressive. Mir....not so much. In fact, he has looked pitiful since his return. Vera by submission in the 1st.

Hughes by TKO in the 2nd. (really looking forward to this fight)

Sylvia by decision (will be boring).

GSP FTMFW!!!!

I'm glad to see Hughes get humbled, and I'm looking forward to the rematch.

Meh, 2 for 3.

Vera should cut down to 205, but the fact that he's tearing up the heavyweights (very weak class in the UFC) shows quite a bit. I really like him and would love to see him drop a weight class.

Sylvia/Monson - just as I thought. Boring decision for Sylvia.

Hughes was stupid to think that he could out-strike GSP. All of his interviews he was saying that he has really improved his striking and that he wanted to KO GSP. I thought he was just trying to get GSP to think about his striking so he could do his normal GNP. Apparently, Hughes believed his own hype and tried to out strike Pierre. We saw the results. Somtimes you have to stick with your strengths and what got you to where you are in the first place. GSP is the real deal and Hughes was dumb to try to stand up with him.

Overall, if you take out the Sylvia/Monson fight this was a great PPV!

I'm surprised Hughes didn't work more for a takedown. Only a couple of serious attempts that GSP fended off

I only remember like 2 attempts at a takedown from Hughes. GSP stopped them both, but it was almost like Hughes only went for the takedowns after he was losing the stand-up battle. That's his bread and butter. Yes, his striking looked a little better, but why try to stand up with GSP? I guess Hughes thought his striking had gotten a lot better than it did.

I like Hughes and GSP, but I was disappointed that the fight was so one-sided. It seemed that Hughes just went in with the WRONG game plan. I thought it would be a great fight.

I tell you what, I'm not a UFC fan, but that GSP/Hughes fight was GREAT! I was laughing my ass off seeing Hughes get a massive beat down. And let me tell you, I LOVE it when morons reach for kicks. Hughes did and got smacked in the face with a shin! Hughes got owned in the worst way. I LOVE IT!
