LOL, look here. most of use know about the issue, for those that dont do a simple google on saddams angels, or simply just dixie chicks, and for the record i mentioned the thing about searching becuase to myself it seemed like something an AT'er would have already beat me to. And i'm sick of all the guys who piss and moan about REPOST!!! 🙂
 
i don't see what the big deal is. it's not like they attempted to assassinate the president. i think some of the people who reacted to the dixie chicks are the ones who are immature. last time i remember we do live in a democracy.

I don't care about the subject. It's not worth my time to search google and sort through 50 fan sites to find a shred of what you are talking about. That's why it's nice when you put that info in the thread itself, of a link to the info. It saves lots of time and allows me to read the info w/o investing 20 minutes trying to find out what you are talking about. Also, if this interview is on the air right now, why would there already be transcripts on the internet?

I don't think the government has punished them for stating their opinion, their freedom of speech has not been violated. They are simply reaping the rewards of alienating their audience.

I would love to see how many of the people championing the Dixie Chicks cause (freedom of speech) championed John Rocker's right to spout his bigoted opinion.
