Anyone watching Point Pleasant? The previews looked pretty good

downloading... i dont even know what this show is about but it's been a while since i've watched a show from it's first episode. i think i'll go into it in the dark.

A bit heavy on the teen element and its definitely nothing ground breaking but I liked it. Has a nice dark feel to it and the previews for the next one look good as well.

Point Pleasant, NJ is 15 minutes from me.
In the summer the place is rocking, in the winter it's a ghost town.

I thought it was extremely boring, and catered to teenies. So much cleav on the supposed teenage girls.

I agree though, tonight's episode looks far better.

I watched it. It was silly and like others said, it catered to teen boys like so many other Fox attempts at drama.

god...I was hopping for a show to fill the nitche that buffy and angel left behind. well I'll give it a few more epsodes but it just seem like a supernatural version of the OC so far.

Yep. That about sums it up. I gave it a second chance last night and was still very underwhelmed.

yeah I didn't like the teen feeling to it. As for the writing, it is co-produced by the Tru Calling person and I felt it was on par with that level of storytelling... not quite up to par with real drama like Lost. What a world of difference.

last night improved a bit but still not that great...I'll leave it in my auto dl in BT for the next few weeks and if I'm board and don't have anything better to watch I'll see the next few eps

I am starting to really like this one.

I understand Fox axed Tru Calling because they thought this show had more potential pull...& while i like Elisha Dushku...Tru Calling was kinda bad.

Point Pleasant though has a nice O.C. + Angel feel to it.

Dark drama...certainly is one of the better shows out there IMO.
