They were just interviewing the Commish of the NFL, and he is saying that the NFL now has a policy that if you have a coaching vacancy, that you MUST interview one minority head coaching prospect.

That is simply insane. I know there was a thread about Affirmative Action on here a few days ago, and this goes along with it somewhat.

There was an example in the interview that made me yell at the TV. When Bill Parcells was hired by Jerry Jones, Jerry Jones called Dennis Green and just talked to him on the telephone, but had a face to face 5 hour interview with Parcells. The NFL Commish said that from now on, telephone calls won't be counted as interviewing a minority candidate. WHAT?!?! So what if he called Green up, and Green says, "Sorry, not interested. Like my job here." Then you have to go find some other minority to call in and talk to. That is just plain stupid.

Best man should be hired, period. Black, White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple. This stupid diversity crap needs to stop.

EDIT Forgot the caps in my title.

Well said, Axiom. Martin Luther King never wanted the black movement to become what it is today. He wanted exactly what you said, for us all to be Americans, and, as he said, "to be judged not by the color of our skin, but by the content of our character."

Was a very intelligent man, and I think he is turning over in his grave thinking about the black leadership now of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Johnny Cochran, etc. They can talk all they want about equality, but they are much more closer to Malcolm X than MLK.
