I love me some NFL, even if it is preseason. To the naysayers who say preseason wins mean nothing--last year we went undefeated in the preseason, then ended up winning 5 straight and playing in the Superbowl. So far we're off to another good start this year!

Offense is looking good, and Fox knows we no longer have to rely on Davis to move the ball with Delhomme and a decent receiver corps. The defense is looking much better with the return of Fields, and we've gotten better at secondary too. I think we'll get at least 9 wins and another go at the playoffs, but I'm not countin on another Super Bowl appearance if the NFC proves to be as tough as it looks.

Not u. Eli Manning. Let's just say that Warner's starting job is safe for more than just the first game.

First of all, Warner does not have a starting job yet, the starter has not been announced. Secondly, Eli looked really sharp, I don't know what game you were watching.

Start Eli Week 1 against a seriously pissed-off Eagles' D...IN Philly?? I think not!! My guess is that Warner will start Week 1 and Eli will come in either next week or the week after. Warner didn't look too bad either...except for the double sack when he first stepped on the field. Eli can throw a good pass, but he had trouble trusting the pocket (I wouldn't trust their o-line either) and didn't always see the open receiver. I guess I was a little harsh, since its too early to make any judgements, but I expect he'll have the regular 1st pick superhype jitters for a few weeks.

Manning may actually start against the Eagles, like I said before, coughlin has not yet announced a decision. Warner did thrown an interception tonight, on a 4th and 2, not that that will affect the decision. Eli had trouble finding the open man? Did you see how he nailed the open man twice for a first while running for his life? I was impressed with his perfomance tonight, especially for a rookie.
