Netanyahu seems cut from the same cloth as Trump, Erdogan, Bolsonaro, Orban, Putin...

Though I find it awkward that his anti-democratic instincts find expression through removing the power of the judiciary to constrain the legislature, while in the US it's the same judiciary that seems to be the prime mechanism for over-ruling democracy.

Also it seems like it's the same as everywhere else in that it's the most hard-line among the religious who have more children than everybody else.

Imagine living in Israel and these guys (UltraOrthodox) who don't do anything but leech from the state have such a hold on power and it will only get worse as they get larger, meanwhile you have to work and pay your taxes, you will be drafted into the army while they do nothing but read their fairy tales

Don't need to imagine it in Israel. It's already happening in the US.

Apparently Islam has it's own, analogous, beliefs about the nature of the inevitable apocalypse (in some forms also involving the return of Jesus), and their own version of the Rapture. Just with a different outcome.

So there's a nice confluence of belief potentially all coming together there. Well, maybe not so nice for the rest of us.

Religions are "wolf-pack gathering" instinct genes, gone too complex and destructive

No they've been around millenia, but the nation currently officially named Israel was formed in 1948. Their politics vary slightly but I stand by my point over the last 100 years they've been getting more and more mindlessly hostile towards Muslims and really anybody who doesnt share their extremist beliefs.
Actually it's more the other way around. The Muslims surrounding them are dead set of kicking the Jews out. It's Hamas' position.

I rarely ever ever watch tv maybe an hour of local radio a month and that pos jingle is still burned into my brain somehow, drives me up the wall

It's on sports radio every damn hour of the day. I always turn down the volume, but not always able to do so.

The damn jingle is catchy. It's definitely burned into the brain, and even my kids can sing it.

I do give to the occasional charity, what I can, but Kars 4 Kids is shady as F.

That's a little harsh on Jordan idnit? Abdullah and Bibi have a relationship going back sometime, they've kept it pragmatic and gotten along for the most part. Add in Jordan's quite strong and healthy ties to both us and the Brits. Personally I don't see them as frothy as say, Hezbollah.

I want to put screwdriver in my ear every time I hear that jingle. What’s worse is I live in Oregon and at the end they state they don’t operate in Oregon. 🤣

@darkswordsman17

I like sports. I don't always have sports radio on, but it's on a lot. It's that or torturing my kids with songs from the 70's and 80's.

I don't need to watch Netanyahu. I believe he will arrange yet another conflict in which many Americans will lose their lives.
