I occasionally watch this show if I happen to come across as I flip through channels.
So I came across it today, and well it was a good show. It had a diverse guest line-up and is fairly neutral.
However today's show caught my interest due to its interesting guest.
One of the guest was a young and beautiful lady by the name of Clea Koff. She's a forensic expert and was on the UN team in Rwanda where she was in charge of unearthing mass graves and deducing how those people were killed. She was very wellspoken and intelligent, which is one of the reasons she interested me (she was beautiful as well...looked similar to Thandie Newton from MI:2). She was only 23 when she joined the UN.
She wrote a book called "The Bone Woman" about her findings in Rwanda. She also had some insightful things to say, regarding political will to kill people and such. Her book is more than just about her forensic findings, but has to do with the political background as well. She said that instead of just looking at the big picture, we should be looking at things at a more personal level and trying to understand the political will/reasons for mass killings and other horrific things done in the name of politics. I didn't get all of it (since I missed half the interview) but I was impressed with her musings.
Second guest was some old guy who was somehow related to WWF (wasn't a wrestler..more of a manager). He was hilarious. He gave some ancedotes about WWF stars and his time with Andre the Giant.
Anyway...I just felt I had to share that, don't really know why...I usually don't discuss what I watch on tv, but I found this particular episode of Dennis Miller to be very interesting. I hope there are more people out there like Clea Koff, young and intelligent people who are trying to make a difference.
