Howard Stern had a discussion on 60 minutes today, and apparently the show was focused on people who download movies before there released. He had a girl who called and said that she downloaded the new Matrix and allready saw it, and she did the same for the new LoTR, etc...

But what gets me is that she can download a movie within a 15 minute time frame. I say bullsh*t! I have comcast cable which is very fast, and it takes me allmost 2 hrs to download a 10 minute porno segment.

How the hell can she download full movies within a 15 minute time frame? And she says that the movie she downloads is just as good as a movie that's shown in the theaters. I don't believe her.

The only thing I can think of is that since she's a college student she has a T1 or T3 connection in her dorm. Your not going to be downloading movies that quickly w/ regular cable.

btw, how was the special? What did the movie industry have to say?

college + dc = 15 minute or less per movie

Ok it's a repost, but answer this...

How can someone download a movie within a 15 minute time frame? I can't do that and I have a very fast connection. Maybe the person has a T3 connection?

With the ability to grab a file from multiple sources at the same time, download speeds can get pretty damn high these days.

Repost, but whoever she was was a liar. It's easy to find sites that have listings of new pirated movies that are available on the 'net and neither the new Matrix nor the new LoTR is available.
