Anyone watch sports center game day ?

I cannot stand listening to him talk...his views and comments are so biased and offer no substance. Ever since he joined this group I feel like he is a joke and that the show is not as enjoyable...

last week he was talking about how the packers should bench Brett Farve cause he isn't winning any games and start Aaron Rodgers...in hope of turning things around...

To me that is the worst thing they could do...

what do you guys think ?

Its the suit.

No really, I believe they have him on the show to try and create some controversy, as well as to attract the hiphop crowd.

I agree with your opinion. He is an idiot.

He's a snazzy dresser 😉
He is there to shake things up. Otherwise everyone would agree on everything and the show would be somewhat boring.
I like him better than Deon Sanders 🙂

I would have to agree with you totally...but come on, you can disagree with people and still sound somewhat intelligent...

I am all for a debate...and I like to hear each side...but have some premise when you are trying to make a statement...Tom jackson can do it...and he doesn't sound like a complete jack ass doing it.

I do enjoy listening to Steve Young putting him in his place when he makes stupid comments

I wouldn't mind him so much if he would stop grabbing and interrupting people.

Sterling Sharpe was much better IMHO.

I think anyone would be better....I am from Wisconsin, so SS is not that high on my list...he really dislikes the Packers for whatever reason from his playing days. It is actually funny when he did commentary on a couple of Packers games...every chance he got he took shots on the team.

Any idea why SS isn't on the show anymore ?

I can understand that🙂 but he was a bit more professional otherwise.

Not sure what happened to him he just vanished kind of like Trev Alberts on
college. Contract issue maybe?

I'd still listen to him any day over Steven A. Smith.

At least Irvin has actually PLAYED in a professional sport.

agreed

without a doubt...He makes Irvin look like a golden child...I almost forgot how much of an ASS HAT he is...

Thanks for reminding me 😀

Thats one thing I've noticed recently with the broadcasters.

It seemed to me all you used to hear is them agreeing with each other. If they had a difference of opinion they'd either say it politely or else not even state their view. Now though, it seems like they disagree a lot more. I remember Steve Young and I forget who were arguing about Bret Favre. Steve was saying that he could go another few seasons, but the Packers had turned on him. The other guy was saying that Favre should've retired before now and that he's run out of gas. They were yelling at each other and it was just kind of weird.

I would bet that was Irvin...for some reason he feels that he needs to retire...cause he has lost a step.

IMO...I would like to see ANY qb in the league come in and deal with what Favre has available to him this season. He looses his line...#1 WR...a Defense that is very suspect...and always playing from behind.

I don't know of any player on that team who plays harder and has done more for the team...

just my 2 cents

yes that was Irvin vs. S.Young.

one thing steve was saying was his own experience w/ the 49er front office giving up on him & championships to focus on rebuilding... he says when GB gave up those two AllPro Linemen, and NOT draft to address the defensive needs after last yr, the front office is not putting Favre in position to do what he continues to come to work for this yr to do...

And I agree, w Favre who wasn't putting Rodger's 'under his wing' during training camp... Favre wasn't going to do what the front office was hoping he'd do.

Irvin, i forgot some of the things he said but yes he was knocking Favre being too old... he was pointing to his head and to his arm saying the brain telling the arm what to do is not happening for a 35 yr old man, and something about Young saying Favre came back into this season in great shape, greatest shape of his life, and Irvin says for what, for a 35yr old man.

i watched that monday night game... Madden saying 'Favre fastball'... yes it's still there... he can get it in tight spots.... sometimes the accuracy consistently hasn't been there the past 3yrs, but by far the problem is the rest of the team.

Irving has always been annoying. He needs to learn how to speak english and dress less CHEESY.
