doesnt it say he died in a car accident when the car he was traveling in was struck by a drunk driver? i think thats what it says while they start rolling the credits.

edit: research tells me he died in a car accident while traveling with a drunk driver.

I actually go to the high school where it took place, TC Williams HS in Alexandria, VA...

I've seen it. Whenever people ask about my school I ask them if they've seen the movie.

He got into a car accident and was paralyzed from the waist down i think. He went on to do some olympic events of some sort.

He died a few years after the movie 'ends'. He got in car accident and got paralyzed. He competed in special olympics, then died a few years after from what I assume to be something related to the accident.
