I saw this posted in another forum. Did anyone see this?

<< Of the >$575 million dollars, the Red Cross took more than $300,000,000 given by donors
intended for 911 victims --- for THEMSELVES including overhead and overseas projects.
>>

I am about to be really pissed.

Nightline Linky

Although I can understand the need to keep some of the funds raised from 9/11 for "future" disaster/terrorist attacks,
it's just goes counter to the notion that people donated with the intent that a least most of it would go directly to help
those affected by the 9/11 attack.

Also, seems like the Red Cross still appealed for blood donations days/weeks after the 9/11, when it was clear that there were
very few survivors that would/could use this blood.

From the Nightline link:

This week, the Red Cross acknowledged that about 4.5 percent of the red blood cells collected on Sept. 11 just expired, and 6 percent collected on Sept. 12 was expected to expire. Typically, 2.5 percent of red blood cells expire 42 days after they are collected. But Red Cross officials insisted that no one's donation went to waste because plasma or other products from every donation, beyond red cells, was used.

I said three weeks ago when that O'Reilly guy was making a big deal of the money that was raised that charities rarely if ever "give" people cash, unless its for short-term emergency use. Charities like the Red Cross take donations to FUND THEIR SERVICES. No surprise here, that's what the Red Cross has always done and they've never tried to hide that. They can't be faulted for people's own ignorance of what the Red Cross does.

The Red Cross is not a bank or philanthropy organization, they are a disaster relief organization who provide SERVICES to those in need (food, clean water, shelter, medical treatment, counseling, etc.).

Bill O'Riley on Fox at 7 and 10 PM CDST has been tenacious about the almost one BILLION that has been collected and how little has been given to families of victims.

He listed how much was collected and how much paid out from several.
Some have not paid out at all.

The Red Cross has no intention of changing their ways. The President promised that the mone given for
9/11 would be given to families of victims. She resigned today, saying that the BOARD had the final word.

My wife was chastized for not giving to United Way some years ago. Then it came to light about the
high % for overhead, marble and granite towers, chauffeured limo, and first class for the Pres.
He had to resign.

The Girl Scouts - the same thing.

It took Bill O'Rielly a year - but he found out how Jesse Jackson became a millionaire - and didn't even have to file tax exempt forms - ther are to be made available to the public - Ha Ha.
Those filings are required by law. Could it be to conceal his income from the public?
