Anyone watch Lockup: Raw on MSNBC?

moshquerade

No Lifer
It's a show where they interview some of the most violent criminals locked up in our country.

I caught some of the show last night. What it made me realize is that most people in these maximum security prisons are mentally ill. These prisons are actually mental hospitals.

And every once in a while there are people who seem to have "grown up", and who spend their lives in prison from the age of 17 on, and it's kinda sad in a way.

Also, some of these guys are what nightmares are made of, and if you were unlucky enough to have crossed their paths you'd be dead. Even in prison they kill every chance they get, because they "have nothing to lose".

You can thank the activism that surrounded "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" for all the mentally ill people filling our prisons, homeless shelters and running around free.

But I liked Jack Nicholson in that movie. 😛

I watch these shows sunday nights as I'm falling asleep. Caught some of the show last night where they focused on the mental hospitals. Usually it has a more gang type theme.

No doubt... his performance was brilliant.

Yeah, I must have only caught the "gang" shows.. My thoughts on the show have always been "holy $hit, glad those guys are locked up.. The longer the better"
