Anyone watch K-Dramas?

I havent watched much, but I'm watching "My Girl" right now, and the 12th episode has ownage spelled all over it. Pwnage even.

Any recommendations? I'm probably going to finish this one in the next few days (I've also watched My Lovely Samsoon).

What channel is this one? KBS World or AZN TV? I was thinking about watching some on KBS World but didn't want to get sucked in like I did to Winter Sonata.

I do, or I used to. I'm midway through Kim Sam Soon, but its been sitting on my hard drive for almost a year, and I started One Percent of Anything, but same thing with that. Do you know about the website d-addicts? If not google it and go there. For recommendations: Attic cat, Hotelier, Sweet 18, Loving You and Ruler of your own world. I started 1000 years of love and Pheonix, but never finished them; I really was enjoying the first, and I guess the second but it became dry. Liked One night in Bali, but didn't care too much for the ending. Don't get me started on kmovies.

I've only watched one jdrama, and it was good, but unfortunately I forget the title. When I first got regular access to the internet, one of the first things I discovered was korean cinema, small screen and big screen, but I ended up burning out on them, and its been 2 and half years or so since I was into it. Been thinking of watching some again, and it looks like 300 pages or so of new d-addicts listings will keep me plenty occupied should I so choose. Pipe dreams of mine include teaching english in korea for a year or two, and creating my own kdrama about a man on the run who escapes his pursuers by illegally teaching in korea, only to fall in love with his overworked and overburdened hagwon director and get into a whole new world of trouble.

Bennylong, I'm a lurker, but I read your thread about meeting your love, and I just want to say congratulations for finding your heart's desire. May both of you have long lives full of happiness.

what kind of dramas do you like?

these are the ones i actually own:
- winter sonata - sappy love story
- stairway to heaven - sappy love story
- full house - comedic love story
- my name is kim sam soon - comedic love story
- sandglass - historic love story
- palace - comedic love story
- all in - everything story
- phoenix - everything love story

if you want more sappy stuff, there's also autumn tale. i started watching beautiful days but i haven't finished it. all in is one of the BEST dramas i've watched, because it can capture my attention across the 24 episodes, instead of the same storyline rehashed ten different ways, like they started doing in phoenix when they extended the show from 20 to 24 episodes. i also have love letter to watch but i haven't gotten around to it.

if you're into period dramas, i loved dae jang geum, but there's also jumong or emperor of the sea, all three of which were huge. (and not just episode wise. dae jang geum was 54 eps, but it was a good 54 episodes!)

i haven't watched many this year, since it didn't seem like many really good ones came out. we have been watching "what's up fox" or "foxy lady" since it has go hyun-jung, who my bf loves, but it wasn't that interesting for me this far.

yeah i've watched full house, winter sonata, my girl, my name is kim sam soon and some others that i cant remember at the moment
