I have a Raptor that's been dead for 6 months. It's the old ADFD 74gb or whatever, and supposedly WD's been replacing them with the newer 300gb drives already.

But any chance they'll give me the new 450gb drives introduced last year? Just wondering.

I probably have 6 months left on warranty, so I'd like to send it out soon.

Yes, I can go buy an SSD, but why not make use of my 5 year warranty anyway?
 
Sheesh you should be jumping for joy if they sent a 300GB model in exchange for that lowly 74GB one!
