My 1800+ just went out I had it for 2.5 years(retail box) and curious how to get warranty work I sent them an email, but will be leaving for vacation tuesday, so would like to try and get the ball rolling before I leave.
Thanks

I was thinking about getting another one, but don't have the funds to do so, the vacations putting a damper on things:p

i rma'ed my 2100

just call them up, their number is on the warrenty paper that came in the box with your chip

they will ask you some questions as to what is wrong and what led up to the chips demise.

if you did not use the retail cooler, dont tell them.
if you did not use the thermal interface material, dont tell them
the use of any other cooler or themal paste voids the warenty so if you used them, dont tell them over the phone.

they will have you put them in a box, packaged real nice and send it to them. i sent mine fedex and got the new one in about 3 weeks.

hope that this helps.

I've had to send an Athlon back, they replaced it with no problems, but they do want you to return the hsf too. Once I had a fan go bad on a retail processor, they did not even bother to have me ship that back, they just sent a new hsf out, but there was no problem with the processor.
