The French said their were no WMD, guess what, THERE ARE NO WMD. God bless the wise group of people that stood up against the Nazis.

When exactly did the french stand up to the Nazis?

Don't be an ass.

1,385,000 French soldiers died; 361,000 were declared missing; 4,200,000 were wounded in WWII and I. They fought like tigers, but the made a mistake in underestimating Germany and not expanding thier defenses as Maginot originally planned. No one had seen that sort of fast moving combined arms warfare before, especially the offensive use of mechanized formations. It was just unheard of and they were not ready for it.

I would hope you would give thier struggle and dead the same respect you would give US casualties...but that seems to be too much to ask.

Contrary to popular belief they didn't give up without a fight and actually held the Germans with no help from us in WWI while we sat back and got rich selling stuff to Europe prior to our entry in the war.

Be an ass and make assinine comments and you'll get responses like that. Barney was making a correlation between Nazi's and the current admin. My response to his tripe was deserved. Now I do respect the fallen so don't try to play the bleeding heart game or if you must - atleast be consistant by slamming his remarks too. Bring tripe to the table - expect to get it back.

I think the government is already working on plans . . . or is it planes . . . to round up all the people with opposing views and send them to education camps. The camps play 24hr war coverage by FOXNews . . . well actually they play 12hrs of war reruns, 8hrs of explicit right of center propaganda, 3hrs of commercials, and a 1hr PSA informing every viewer that freedom is a gift from DOD and President Bush.

Well .. Finally, a use of tax dollars where the average citizen gets the benefit and not the welfare grabbing, free health care recipient or them old social security drawing worthless feeble people.

edit: I presume the opposing view folks are all elsewhere.... somewhere...

Nice, avoiding personal responsibility for your incredibly insensitive statement. Shouldn't you be off whining about your brothers car being impounded?

If you respected the Fallen you wouldn't be insinuating that the French rolled over without a fight. I don't see how that has anything to do with anything Barney said. I think it just makes you feel good to believe that you are so far superior to an entire nation of people as you are constantly harping on the French.

BTW, I choose not to respond to Barney Fife since the whole Haliburton thing where I lost my cool and called him a "piece of trash"

The comment was insensitive to the french who stood up the the Nazi's just as his insinuation that Bush/conservatives are Nazi's. Get over yourself - If you had half a clue about my brother's situation you'd understand why I asked the question I did but you obviously only see the "alcohol" and tune out the other part of the laws.

I believe the word you're (not your) looking for is were (plural past tense for is).

I agree you're far from Bush when it comes to grammar...he may actually be better.

Can we take up some donations to get Tabb an MLA handbook? We should make sure his "planes" are at least grammatically correct.

Tabb is a victim of repulicans cutting education. I'm sure is forced to go to public school with over-loaded classes and underpaid teachers who have stopped caring about the quality of students they turn out. Not His fault. Now Bush, on the other hand, I have less sympapthy for. The Primary education he recieved at Andover costs 35K per annum and is one the most rigourous and well equiped places of learning on the planet. His College education was from the best universities on the planet too. But he's still an idiot. So which is really worse:)

Thanks for the now edited spelling and grammar lesson.

Yeah, I misunderstood how he misused where when I first read it (first thought he was misusing we're). Everyone makes mistakes, the key is to try and correct them. Tabb makes them all of the time and never corrects himself.

Please provide a link where any French official said before the war they were confident, sure, or would even say they believed no WMD would be found. I distinctly remember Blair challenging every opposing nation to stand up and declare just that, not one did.

When did Germany and France become the voice of reason? When they called kissing georgies butt right after the fall of Baghdad?

the french and germans never claimed that Iraq was WMD free. They just believed that a war was not necessary because they were convinced that Iraq was not a threat like Bush tried us to believe. The official stance was that the UN inspectors could do the job. I guess that Chiraq and Schroder are even more amazed that until now the US hasn't found anything. And with anything I mean not even a rotten artillery shell with some old VX nerve gas in it. Every day that passes that the US doesn't find a WMD is a day that Bush and his minions in this forum look more and more like total asses. If you have somewhat of a brain there is only one conclusion possible. France, Germany were right and Iraq was not a threat. This war was about WMD and until now they haven't found anything. Don't give me the bs that the people of Iraq are free now because this war was never about democracy.

I hope that the Americans and Brits look at the facts when it's election time and hold their leaders responsible for the lies they told the world. American and British soldiers died, Iraqi civilians died (and are still dying) for a war that was not necessary.
