Well, i'm currently in the process of creating (for free) a website for the local humane society here in Pitt County (NC). The only thing I really need help with is layout - uncjigga has so kindly volunteered to help me without graphics (thks again jigga) . Anyone want to help out :)

I can get you a free puppy out of it :>

This is what we currently have http://www.pittcountyhumanesociety.com/ it sucks - any ideas on what would make it look better? Also, I have been trying to figure out the easiest way to keep the dog/cat pictures current (listing by kennel number-updated every week)?

hey, I did a website for my local animal shelter back at an internship I had last year

www.cnyspca.org

I used ASP to make the site interactive and the animal database searchable. It looks ok, just thought i'd offer it out to ya to check out for ideas maybe. Good luck with yours :)

I don't think the black background works. I would center the top part. When I looked all I saw was the fuzzy white dog and cat pic. It took a second look before I saw "A Haven for the Homeless, The Pitt County humane Society." Put the number of visitors roward the bottom. The middle's (home) a mess. Maybe divide it into sections like news, etc. I'd also clean up the side bar. The links are too dark for the black background and the text/font's small and close together.

Just a few suggestions. :)

i'm no web designer...........

but it'd ne nicer if there were a few more cat and dog pictures in the back round(where the lite blue part is). And the menu buttons should be spread out abit. But that's all i can really think of for now.

note: I did not design the current website - I plan on just ripping the current one and just moving the content over.
