Has Tribeca Lost Its Liquor License? (UPDATE: Nope)
Posted on January 25th, 2008 2:15pm by Zac Crain
Filed under Business, Nightlife

That seems to be the case, according to a strange-fax-receiving FBvian:

I had a fax this morning from Tribeca, no clue how they got my fax number, but they have lost their liquor license and are now unloading all of their booze this weekend?free after 9pm!

Going out of business and leaving a void in the cool rooftop patio arena.

Anyone from Tribeca out there with your ears on, confirm or deny at your leisure.

UPDATE: Check out the comments for the story behind the fax. Long story short? It was a prank, and apparently it?s been happening a bunch. No free drinks. Bar staying open. Nothing to see here. Sorry Tribeca. Print out this post; it?s redeemable for one stern look of admonishment and maybe a purple nurple.

4 hours? Why? It shouldn't take more than 40 minutes. At the most!

If you're lucky, and traffic was caused by a stalled vehicle or just general rush hour. If there's an accident, it'd be about 4 hours from one end to the other.

it's the sam houston tollway, or beltway 8.

freeway is supposed to be done in november. the construction hasn't backed it up, except late nights and weekends. they've kept open all 3 main lanes in both directions during weekdays. it's about the most convenient freeway widening ever. of course, they had that big utility easement and old katy road immediately on the north side, so i'm not certain if other freeways could do the same.

what pisses me off is that they rebuilt the west loop and didn't expand it at all so its still fscked 12 hours a day. way to go txdot.
