Why is it so important to everyone to install SP1? My XP runs fine...why do I need SP1?

Answering my own question above...is it somehow a feeling that your OS is somehow incomplete without SP1?

The correct way to use an OS. Buy it first, then install it.

I don't think you do need it. It caused nothing but problems for me so I uninstalled it.
