Anyone using the Nvidia Overclocking utility?

It doesn't seem too stable. It likes to hang my entire system whenever I change anything other than voltages.

yes - it is downloadable from their website and reviewed in a few computer mags this month.
the only hard-copy review i read liked it but did mention [in the politically correct way they have] that it hanged on certain things.
they also tested with the abit m/b; wonder what it is like with the a7n8x....

No, the NV System Utility for nForce motherboards. It's supposed to allow overclocking options within Windows.

The advanced options section of it - you know, the section that actually lets you do anything really useful - isn't available in either an Epox 8RDA+ Rev1.1 or an Abit NF7-S Rev1.2. Only the basic options - FSB/RAM speed - are available.

Voltage ect.

I can't get into it either 🙁
Hopefully nVidia will release another version allowing for more mobos to use this tool.

I can't even get it on my NF7-S 2.0 with the latest BIOS.

this program is only supported by the latest boards. nvidia has a list of these boards at there sight. a7n8x deluxe supports it in a very limited way however the new a7n8x-e has full support as well as:
NVIDIA nForce2:
ASUS A7N8X-E
Biostar M7NCG
Epox EP-8RDA+
Epox EP-8RDA3+
ABIT NF7-S
NVIDIA nForce 3:
Gigabyte K8NNXP
Shuttle AN50

I hope that the people that release the A7N8X Uber BIOS will release a modified BIOS that will allow A7N8X-Deluxe users to use the NV System Utility.
