And that is one reason I asked the question originally. I live in the South....it gets quite hot (was 82 yesterday and we see >90 all summer) and I tow a boat, among other things, most every weekend.
I really don't think you'll have a problem (that's IMHO). The fact is that the OE oil used in your ride to do that isn't going to be anywhere close to as good as GC, so really, GC ought to be able to handle whatever you throw at it.
From what I can recall that's at least somewhat clear, and again this is heresay, the person in question lived in Australia or something like that. He ran it in his ride in their heat, and had an issue with it. And hence it was theorized that GC didn't like being run hard in high ambient heat conditions. But I'd have thought by now, with as widespread use that GC has, that if that were true for US ambient heat ranges, someone from AZ or NM would have piped up on one of the message boards talking about the doomed it foisted upon their engine. And I haven't seen anything like that (although, truthfully, I haven't been looking to have seen it).
You could try going over to BITOG forums, under the EU oil forum, and making a post about GC and higher loads + higher ambient heat. Maybe someone that's been around there for a long while and following GC would have some good knowledge on it.
