Anyone using Swift Ink's BCI24 compatible ink?

I have a Canon MP1300 all in one printer that uses Canon's BIC24 black and tri-color ink cartridges. The black one is running low, so I need to get a replacement.

I've read people praise Swift Ink's Canon compatible ink, but I believe they were referring to their BCI6 compatible inks.

Anyone used Swift Ink's BCI-24 compatible inks?

If so, how good or bad are they?

you might also try www.bulkinkjetcarts.com-----they have the BCI-24 cartriges for a buck a pop
be it black or tricolor.------a few pages back on the perhiferals page there is a fifty some thread post on various ink vendors.-----up to you to decide--but there are also alot of people happy with swift ink for what its worth. The curse with swift ink is that they are not particularly a low cost supplier as third party vendors go---in a market where cost is seldom a predictor of quality.

Third party cartridges are sure alot cheaper than Canon OEM-------saving too compelling to pass up.
But one joker with mail order ink--you want to buy in fairly large quanaties to factor out shipping costs.---figure a cartridge shelf life of two years.

Cost may not be an indicator of quality, but if you purchase the wrong generic ink say goodbye to your printer as the inkjets will get clogged. I have been very happy with the cost and service of swiftink and would recommend them highly to anyone. Don't think that it doesn't matter.

The dye-based inks in the BCI 24 are the same inks that are in the BCI-6 carts. You just get lots more of it in the 6 series. It should work just fine for you. Plus, if you're a heatware.com member, you can get 20% off on your ink right now. Go register or sign in and get your coupon code... I really like their ink.

FYI: And here's a tip for all Canon owners that use the pigmented black or other pigmented inks (BCI-3e cartridge series) - be sure to carefully clean the nozzle plate of your print head with alcohol on occasion. I was having some smearing and streaking in standard print mode that wasn't resolved by cleaning and traced it to particle build-up from the black ink on the nozzle plate (black is the only pigmented ink used in my iP3000 - the color nozzles and surroundings were nice and clean).

It looked like little ridges or piles of gritty looking stuff in various areas. I cleaned it off with some alcohol on cotton swabs and no more smearing/streaking. Roll the swabs (it can take quite a few swabs to get it all) instead of rubbing so you don't damage the nozzles and be sure to get any lint left behind.

It took a year and a quarter for it to build up enough to cause a problem - pretty good in my book.

I use the Rainbow brand from tylermartin.com for the BCl-24.

They work just fine, and you can't go wrong with $1.29 cartridges IMO.

Did T-M fix the rainbow and USA brands. The last time I bought, the ink was much lower in intensity than what I had bought there earlier. That's why I'm buying from SwiftInk now.

I'm not sure. I last purchased several months ago, but it seems to work fine. I don't really prints pics with this printer, but I have no issues with text documents.

Same here, but I do hear great things about Swift Ink.

I too have heard nothing but good things about swiftink. But it's more than doulbe the price.
Now if If I used my Canon printer for color pictures, then I would probably look at getting more expensive (better quality) ink.

I have exactly what the op posted for my canon printer...
Everything works fine... except the ink smears/doesn't dry when i print on glossy photo paper (it didn't do this with stock canon ink).
Beats me =\

SwiftInk dries quickly on Staples and Fuji brand glossy paper. Don't know what clone ink you are using.
