Anyone using Lasagna coolers for CPUs?

Some time back I asked about the TennMax Lasagna
coolers...The concensus response is that they're
underpowered for overclocking. OK.

But I have another question: Are they sufficient
for the following:

1) Non-overclocked cooling?
2) A passive heatsink used with off-chip venting?
(That is, where the chip is cooled by a fan and
ventwork that hangs over the chip; this is a common
design in many HP, Dell and Compaq machines...)

Any experiences or comments? TennMax claims the
Lasagna has been "certified" for use with Intel
and AMD chips and has been "extensively" used in
tight space configurations, such as 1U rack servers.

I think I would find out what CPU's they are certified for use with.. my guess is that there is no way they would be certified for PIII's and especially no way for Durons or Thunderbirds..

They must be certified by PIIIs. What else would they
be certified for? Especially if Intel has certified them
for use in 1U rack servers? How many 1U rack servers do you know
of that use PIIs? Plus, the PIII (Coppermines) are actually
cooler than a lot of the PII/PIII Katmais. The AMD chips
are another story entirely...

I had 3 Tennmax Lasagna coolers and I honestly don't think they're barely qualify to cool mobo/video chipsets let alone any CPUs.
