Anyone using Kingwin sk-523 case?

I've read the reviews and seen the pix - and it looks like an excellent case for the money.

My only reservation:
From the pictures, it looks like case ventilation may be a bit restricted when the front door is closed>

Any feedback would be appreciated!

No I don't have this case but have reccomended it because the price is right for case with
2-120 fans. It would be an alternative to the Antec SLK-3000. What I don't like about
either case is no slid out tray or PSU adapter. That means everything must be done inside
the case.

You raise a very valid point dunkster. Dang! I thought it did intake duty along the slots for
the front doors cathode but maybe not, from looking at the linked pics.

It seems there is a frosted lens along the gap the cathode shines through. Shoot!

This could be done as it has been done in the past for better intake. Holes could be made
at the sides of the door near the fan. The door is solid aluminum and would be easy to
mod but it's a pita to mod a new case. Leaving the door ajar should not be necessary.

The silver model would be much more forgiving to mod because any drilled holes or cuts
would match the original finish.

I'm glad you pointed this out and hope an owner comes along.

I have this case. There is a slot on the underside of the door, not visible, to draw in air. I was skeptical at first, but it works suprisingly well, Air coming in behind the front fan is consatnt and at a fairly good rate. I would say it is slightly hindered though, it does increase slightly when the door is open.

I've been recommending it because it is basically the same as the CM Centurions that have 120mm fan mounts f/r. I wouldn't be using the light tube anyway so out it goes and plenty of air intake opens up thru that slot. One could mod the light tube a bit back from the slot and have both.
