I bought a stick of their PC3200 CL2 once. It wouldn't even run at PC2700 reliably, so I returned that junk and went with the sure thing: Corsair.

My PC3200 C2 from Geil won't run at CAS2, only 2.5 I like my Kingston Hyperx PC3500 CAS2

I have IS7 and Geil PC3500 Ultra Platinum rated at 433mhz (216) and I can run:

@2.8V
2-2-2-5 @ 186mhz (374 effective)
2-2-2-6@200mhz (400)
2-3-3-6@216mhz (its rated speed)

Anything above 219 it fails regardless of memory timings. I hear you need at least 2.9 or 3.0V board to stretch this particular ram. With geil you should be aware that its either 'hit or miss'. However, their PC4000/4200 sticks are excellent overclockers. For all other speeds you might want to consider other brands. However for me Geil has not disappointed especially considering the above timings and only $55 per 256 PC3500 stick. I have winmemtested it and it has never given me problems. However, for a reasonable price at $61 on newegg I would probably buy Mushkin PC3500 2-3-3 Level 1 256mb.

I got some of their PC3200 (not the "Golden Dragon" line, but the stuff with the same timings as that), and it works just fine on my NForce2 board (it's the one in my rig). It'll do 2-3-3-6 at 200FSB and lower, and 2.5-5-5-11 up to 420FSB. Past there I get instability no matter what, but that's likely from my Barton 2500+ not handling speeds above 2.3Ghz well on air. :p

If you're a crazy overclocker, it's not the best. However, if you're a cheap bastard and just want something that'll do dual-channel DDR400 with decent (but not outstanding) CL2 timings, it's pretty good.

Edit: just wanted to add that their memory supposedly does better with VDIMM overvolting -- my board only goes up to 2.7V without a hardware mod, so I can't verify this. The chips are warranted up to 2.9V (compared to a default of 2.5V or 2.6V on most boards).

I had a pair of their dual-channel memory crap out at stock speeds. I would stay away.
