has anyone had any success using etherboot to start a w95 or w98 client?
all these recent pictures of crack racks is conjuring up the old thoughts of there has to be a better way.
is the windoze client really that much faster than linux?

with the refurb boards supporting raid coming way down in price,
and newegg selling refurb kt266a boards,
a serious driveless crack rack is becoming more affordable.

I have never tried a network boot. the K7S5A's can do it too. The machines all have to be identical for it to work right?

Anywhere we can go to check this out?

This might be what we're looking for :)

Seems it can be set to run off a floppy, easier than doing EEPROMs, and cheaper than a HDD or Zip drive :)
