Anyone using Cloudflare DNS service?

I read about them several weeks ago in a ZDNet article and decided to give them a shot. Everything was going good until this morning when I woke up to no internet access. I checked all of my hardware and everything was connected so I loaded up my router GUI and was greeted by a no DNS access message.

I don't know how long this outage has been going on so just reloaded my OpenDNS settings and got back online. Although I know it happens from time to time I've never had my DNS provider take a dump like that before so I suppose that my experiment using them is over for now but it was fun while it lasted.

Their status page confirmed the JAX outage and that they rerouted traffic. I'll probably just stay on OpenDNS since they have some redundancy.

I've been using it for a while now and am very happy with it. It's great that they don't store the logs for very long and I've only noticed one time that it was acting up a bit on my phone. The phone app is great and it gives a lot of insight into DNS, and I've noticed that it speeds it up as well.

On my computer it also came with a noticeable little speed increase which is always nice! 🙂

Been good for me.

Like DNS servers with easy to remember IP addresses. 😀
