I'm been a happy non-AT&T long distance customer for about 3 years now, and I'm trying to decide whether or not to finally give Verizon the heave-ho on my residential service. Here in Northern Virignia, a company called Cavalier Telephone (www.cavtel.com) offers basic residential for:
$11.55 (60 month committment)
$12.22 (36 months)
$12.74 (12 months)
$13.18 (month-to-month)
So even the month-to-month compares pretty favorably to the $18.38 that Verizon is charging. Anyone out there using Cavalier? Have you had any problems or is it pretty much as reliable as Verizon/Bell Atlantic?
