anyone using a zalman+4600?

specifically a gainward golden sample, stock... and running it passively?
i'd think the heatsink should get hotter than it is now... so maybe i put too much termal paste (well, artic silver)? Or is running it passively a real push for the 4600?

Well, I just got mine installed.

I used a fair amount of paste without going crazy.

So far, I am running it passively and I have no artifacting. However, I do have a fan in the side of my case that blows on the top (rear) heatsink so technically, its not totally passive.

My PC is a LOT quieter now - enough so that I am going to get the CPU fan fixed next.

I think the Ti4600s are going to usually be fine - the Zalman will cool a R9800 and a fan is only "recomended" - those things put out way more heat than a Ti. Also - the Radeons use more power than the AGP can give - thats why they have that molex on the card - the Ti does not need the extra power.

I am very happy with the product - plan to get more Zalman products...
