Anyone using a Umax Astra 600s and WinXP

I checked Umax website and there are no drivers for this scanner and WinXP..anyone using one with WinXP..if not the the 600s..how about 1200series

this is not a direct response to your question, but a general one i guess...
I have a HP 3400Cse and i cant get the software to work that comes with the scanner with XP, however XP loaded the default driver and if you go to "My computer" you can right click on the scanner and choose scan, but use the scanwizard instead of any installed softare

Hmmm..that sucks as I happen to like the scanner software interface with the Umax scanner...dang...

Thanks for the info I do not want to go to WinXP unless my hardware is going to work..I love this scanner ...I tried some newer ones with 600 dpi in hardware and Astra 600s(300 dpi) gives better images
