Anyone using a ti4600 w/a 300w ps?

I was wondering if anyone here was able to run a GF4 TI4600 w/ a 350w (or close) ps stabily, specifically Antec, but doesn't have to be. I'm debating on wether or not to get the 300, 350 or 400w.

My current setup is:
P4 2.0A at stock speed
Intel D850MVL motherboard
Visiontek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti4600
WD 100 GB HDD
Creative 16x Ovation DVD-Rom
TDK VeloCD 32x/10x/40x CD-RW
Antec SX1030 with a 300W Power Supply
4 80mm Antec Case fans

My system has been up and running stable for the past month. According to Intel Active Monitor all of my Power supply inputs are well within spec. I have not experienced any lag of power with the 300W supply, but plan on getting the TruePower 550 in the future.

Wattage isn't everything in a powersupply. In my past experiences, brand does matter. When you buy a brand, you tend to buy quality. Enermax, Antec, and Sparkle are among my favorites. A 400W no-name could easily be outpowered by an Enermax 350W. It's the design and special attention and care that is put into the engineering and manufacturing process that makes a powersupply so good.

Just FYI. 🙂

Good lucK!

I have a decked out P4 system (see below) I don't have any problems with my Ti4600 on a 300W power supply.

400watt PS seems the min for a GF4...

Gateway and Compaq both sell systems with Ti4600 running on a 200W PS. You don't need anything more than a quality 300W PS for any system you will build.
