I was going to buy one but I wanted to be sure that the screen was totally flat. Can anyone verify this?

I hope you don't plan on using this for your PC. Sun does not use the 15-pin D-SUB connector. I believe there are converters out there, but I don't know how much they are. I don't know if I've used that model but all of the 21-inch Sun monitors I've used are pretty sweet.

Thanks for the reply.

This monitor has both a 13W3F non detachable cable and HD15 input. So I would be able to connect this to my PC.

Hey, that's pretty sweet. I would say go for it. How much do one of those thing run? I would love to have one and an UltraSPARC 10 :). The ones at school are damn nice.

I won a bid on ebay for $437 shipped +tax. It's cool cause they're brand new direct from Sun. Anyway I thought it was a sweet deal cause now I can run my PC and my sparc off of one monitor. They 21 inch CRT that Sun is currently shipping is totally flat, this model is about 2 years old, and I wanted to be sure that it too was totally flat.

I have that one you're talking about. I run my Ultra 5 through the 13W3 connector and my PCs through a switcher to the HD15 input. It's not completely flat like some of the newer monitors out there, but it's pretty damn sweet nonetheless.

I have a 21" sun trintron monitor myself. I dont know what suns code is but mine is the same as a sony GDM-500ps. Its a great monitor, but its not totally flat. It is alot flatter than a normal monitor though. It you have the same one I do, I think you will enjoy it. But just get some Chiropractor money ready because this things weights a ton.
