I own a sony E200 and its a awsome monitor, quite happy with it. A downside is your max res is 1600x1200 which means a crappy refresh at that res. If you dont run any higher then its a fine choice for a monitor. Another choice if you DO run 1600x1200 is the Viewsonic p95f+ from gateway or dell, both are offering free shipping and it runs about $260 or $270, plus Dell has 5% off all monitors.

Hmmmm what kind of tube does the p95f+ use, is it aperture grill? and who makes the tube?

thanks

The E440 refresh at 1600x1200 is 75hz which isnt good, but I will never run it at that size besides for gaming somtiems... and actually even then I dont htink so

what are refresh rates like on the p95f+?

Ok then gateway does (They also have free shipping) because my g/f just bought one :) It is a AG tube. It has up to 2084x1536 resolution and up to a 87Hz refresh at 1600x1200.

If I wasnt going to run 1600x1200 Id probably get the Samsung 955DF which will run you $239

The sonys are great monitors (I own one) but others are just as good and cheaper.

Yep, I see that the samsung is a shadow mask. I am done with a shadow mask personally. If im paying for a flat screen I want aperture grill, otherwhise I might as well get a non flat... shadow mask flat screens always look blurry and out of focus to me, and the color and especially brightness are sub par, even on the higher end ones in my opinion.

Coupon code is right on their main page, NOSHIPA, if you have any issues just call them.
