Anyone using a Seiki SE65UY04 (65") as a monitor?

Just wondering how this thing will do with gaming? I am currently hooked to a 46" Sony and looking to upgrade. The Seiki SE65UY04 is a 4k TV. Just not sure how it would do with gaming, pc or console wise. Thanks

It would have 30hz refresh rate, capping you at 30fps. Can't get higher than 30hz using hdmi. Since this is a TV this would be your best input port. You need display port for higher refresh rates. This is all assuming the TV only has HDMI, because based on past experience I've never seen a TV with a DisplayPort.

I have the 39" Seiki 4k as a 4th monitor, I've tried it with a couple games (I have a 780ti and a i7-4960x) - it's okay if you turn down the settings, but gets a little laggy otherwise. It looks way better than I thought it would though.

Personally, I think even the 39 is too big unless you're far enough away to where you really can't use it otherwise. I think the 3440x1440 monitors might be a better option for desktop gaming.

Factory menu (menu + 0 0 0 0 0)

Put this firmware on it.

This will allow almost any card to do 1920x1080@120hz. (It may take a couple switches to get it right)

Change your backlight intensity in the advance menu.

Game on. I now use this over my 28"
