was over at the FS/FT forum when I noticed someone wants to buy a LCd projector.. got curious to see how many people are using this as a monitor or TV? Also would like to find out where I can get more info on them :) I think it would be neat to play CS on a LCD Projecot it will help me aim better ;)

You got that kind of cash around? A decent one runs quite a few thousand $$. We use them here to teach animation and multimedia classes. Nothing too special. It's good for presentations, but for personal use, I'll take a monitor any day.

I realized that it's a lot of $$$ but I would really love to get one when I grad from college and have full time job. Just imagine you can have a 75 inch TV or Playing CS and the enemy is life size ;) or watch p0rn and it's life size as well ;) j/k ;)

You can easily get rid of a LCD projector.....getting rid of what you get from a hooker, may be a bit more complicated.

I don't have the dough, or a place to use but who knows in the near future I might be able to buy one :) so why not start early on doing some research on the thing :)

I bought a refurbed Sony lcd projector for under $700 and use it for dvd movies on a 106" screen. It has low light output though so it's only good for at night.

The newer dlp projectors like the Infocus lp350 are better than most lcd projectors in the same price range bit will still set you back over $3k. If you look at the cost of large screen tv's though, projector prices start to not look that bad.

Exactly.. if I am going to spend 3k for a large screen TV I might as well get a projector in the future.. So 3k is around the range?? I better start saving then....;)
