Hi all,
Just joined the forum and I am in the middle of building a new PC. I am using the Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi MB with a Gigabyte GeForce 7600 GT video card.
Seems that Asus recommends using the primary (blue) PCI-E x16 slot for supported video cards instead of the universal (Black) slot which supposedly tops out at x4 even though both slots are diagramed and listed as x16 in the user manual.
My 7600 GT will not fit in the blue slot as it hits another component on the PCI slot below it before it will seat all the way in. Any downside to using the universal slot (black) since I do not play games and do mostly photoshop work?
Thanks,
Jim
