Perhaps there are nearly 0 games yet written for 4K? And, 4K monitors are rather costly at present.

Having said that, maybe because no reader qualifies to respond.

Probably because most people post monitor related stuff in the Video Cards and Graphics forum.

Plenty of people have 4K monitors, especially with Dell's new 24" and 27" monitors which were $400 and $500 during Black Friday, and the Acer B326HK which was $699 during Black Friday. Also the Benq BL3201PH is available now at $899. Still pricey if you are comparing to a cheap 27" 1080P IPS monitor for $250, but these are much better pricing overall compared to a year ago.

It makes current and last gen games look incredibly sharp. For example Final Fantasy 13 looks bananas at 4K and it's a old PS3 console game.

Monitors per se are peripherals. VC&G items relate to the images produced by the vid cards and related software. Thanks for the info on what results of games are on 4K monitors. Looks like a good choice if you have the jack. :)

would gaming on a 4k tv be any diff than a monitor?

i'm thinking it might depend on the budget and the size of the unit?

if it were up to me, I'd like IPS as my first choice.

I just got an Acer B326HK running with a EVGA GTX 780Ti. I am not a hardcore gamer, the games I tried seemed fine to me.

Sure although at least on Anandtech the majority of discussion on 4K displays are actually taking place on the VC&G forum. This might be the only thread on 4K displays in Peripherals whereas there are discussions on all the current 4K "gaming" displays on VC&G.
