I recently bought a Dell 2001FP, and like it so much I bought a second one for a dual LCD setup (couldn't pass up Dellf 25% off and stackable coupons...). Now I need a vid card that can drive the two of them (DVI at 1600x1200).
I currently have a 9700PRO, and want to go to a dual DVI AGP card. From what I can tell it looks like it needs to be a 6800 Ultra or GT.
But I have read in some reviews on newegg that the 6800 series may not have good signal quality on both DVI ports. Maybe it was just that one brand, but can anyone dispute this using 2 flat panels at 1600x1200?
I also read that there is some problem with running two LCD panels that was fixed with a firmware update...anyone have a card that has NOT had a firmware update released for it? (I am curious about brands and their product support)
