Anyone using 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 have an opinion on latest firmware?

I have the 120GB Vertex 3. Got it for dirt cheap last year, but haven't opened it yet. At this point, I am wondering if I should hold onto it or get rid of it. I had hopes the the firmware would work out most of the bugs people were complaining about in the OCZ forums. Does anyone know if most of the issues were resolved or not?

Personally I would dump it and get a known reliable modern SSD like the Samsung Pro/Evo or Seagate 600 which are pretty cheap right now, especially in the 120GB range.

If you are going to dump it, feel free to send it my way. I am using a refurb 100GB OCZ Vertex 2 and I am pleased with it so far.

Never really had any problems with an 240GB Ocz Vertex 3 Max IO with any of the released firmware.

Ironically, during the period of time when a Sandforce firmware update unwittingly screwed up TRIM for many Sandforce based drives, OCZ were the ones who didn't update their firmware until it was fixed.

I am running a 2 120gb vertex 3s in a RAID-0 and have been doing so for >2 years without any problems (I think I am approaching 3 years now actually). My firmware is the 2.25. TRIM was enabled through the workaround previously posted on anandtech as well, without any issues. Never had a problem with flashing. To be honest though, I never noticed a difference in functionality with any of the firmware updates. My hardware is pretty standard stuff and relatively modern.

For reference, in that 3 years, I have had at least 4 WD or seagate large capacity hard drives die on me.
