anyone used xara web designer

I would say Wordpress is a LOT more flexible. If you plan to actually code your website, Wordpress is amazingly powerful. Otherwise, the xara thing doesn't seem to be bad.

huh

TS - These products are catered toward people who aren't coders and spew out garbage, which becomes un-maintainable in the long run. I highly advise against using things like Xara and instead recommend you use a barebones text editor if you actually want to learn how to code. If not, you can attempt using Xara but things will go haywire and you won't know why, and you'll ask a coder for help and they'll point out to the garbage spewn out by Xara.

The site needs to be maintained by someone who's not a programmer. With Wordpress, it seems you're stuck with whatever the template you're using gives you. Xara seems to provide a bit more flexibility and power as well as not requiring any coding - but so far, I haven't had time to try either enough to be sure.

Not if you make it yourself :whiste:

I'll shut up now

To elaborate on where I think you were going, if you don't know what you are doing, no matter what tool you use, you will not get good markup back. Garbage in, garbage out. A solution like "Xara" won't be that useful in the long run unless you are doing the simplest of simple stuff.
