Anyone used this case?

Heyas, new member here, long time lurker.

Has anyone used this case yet?

Silver Nemesis

Black Nemesis

Getting ready to build a new box and trying to make sure it's going to be able to handle the cooling of:

AMD 3500 939
MSI Neo2 Ultra Plat
1 GB Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT (If you know better oc'ing memory for cheaper I'd like to hear it.)
6800GT
HDD is a Maxtor 60 Gig piece of crap (I buy them because they never survive warranty plan. Haven't paid for a HDD since 10 gig.)

Probably going to overclock to 2.5 or 2.6 if the case allows this much air handling. I'm an overclocking noob and a previous Intel user since '82.

Before the fugly comments come out about this case, I'm trying to get info on air handling capability for this case. I'm looking for something different and have had the same old plane jane crap under my desk for twenty years and frankly all the Antec cases and such still look like 1980's no-style crap to me, along the lines of General Zod's opinion of Superman's Fortress. Time for something different.

So, anyone tried this thing yet? I can't seem to find too many reviews on it.

Thanks for any opinions you can give.

Nice case, aluminum, but best of all it has 3x 120mm fans. That's more than enough cooling for what you're gonna use. Also has a lot of heat sensors to keep a good eye on your temps.

Only problem for me is that it costs 120 bucks, but for a aluminum case I guess its pretty cheap 😛

Thanks for the confirmation!

I was balking at the price too at first, but I think I've been through literally every case on new egg and it was this or the MGE Viper. I figure what the hell, it'll outlast everything I put in it so it's worth splurging a bit. The one I have now has survived four upgrades. I'm thinking this thing will look better better with all red or all green led fans in the black case.

My next question...

Will the new BTX standard still fit ATX cases or does anyone know yet?

Like I said, no style.

What's been passing for cases since the 1980's is the equivalent of a million different variations of loafers but they're all still loafers. I'm just sick of them and it's time for some sneakers.

Besides, when I'm done with this case, a can of bondo, and some paint, it'll have an entirely different look.

It looks OK, but I'm a Praetorian man myself.

I noticed most folks here seem to prefer the "classic" PC looks. The Praetorian fits that description as well.

I'm ordering it first and hopefully, it'll be mostly finished by the time Newegg gets the other parts back in stock. I'll just have to get it and see what speaks loudest. Right now, the pictures are screaming "Decepticon."

$120 for that peice of crap? Even if it wasn't the world's ungliest case (and it is) why would you pay $120 for this?

BTW, MGE is crap too.

A.) I'm not you.

B.) I can afford to piss away $120 on something besides what I was already using before you grew pubes.

Now run upstairs and slap your mother for not teaching you how to talk to people.

Look... NXT (or whatever it is) makes crap, don't take personal offense. Aesthetics aside they are cheap cases, it shouldn?t cost $120.

Heh not a lot of good feedback...

Personally I like the case myself, although it is a little over the edge for me. I'm the kind of person who likes a little style more than none, and I hate tower-type cases. I want something that says, "Hey look I did this myself so back off"

Anyway I chose the Sunbeam over this one mainly because it's a little less crazy, but I think this is a pretty nice case myself. Mayax, I think you should get this because the main reason people here say what they say is cuz they don't like how it looks. As long as it runs nicely, get it.

Thanks for the better reply. $120 does seem a bit over the top but in comparison to their other case prices, it looks like I'm paying the added cost for the temperature control. They have another line coming that's the same thing but without the added fan control unit, it'll be interesting to see what that runs in comparison.

It sounds like you have prior experience with NZXT. What exactly is crap about them other than the PSU? Most of the reviews I've seen concerning the Guardian are pretty good with the drawbacks being bad front intake and not many like the aesthetics. They all seem to agree on decent construction.

I don't have any first hand experiance with them so I'm going by reivews that I've read. Aside from the over the top looks they seem like your typical case with a no-name PSU. Its prolly alright for $40-$50.

Alright then. This is pretty new case to the market and it doesn't look like anyone's reviewed it yet which is part of the reason I was asking about it here. It looks like it was just released this month.

I don't see hardly any $120 cases on the market that comes with three 120mm led fans, a decent quality fan control system, a power supply (probably crap but that's 99% of cases,) and a screwless design.

Could you point me out to some the reviews you've seen?

Can't seem to find any reviews on this case yet (only shipped in September I believe)...

I don't see why fans/PSU should be a factor in cases. They're usually all crap and I always replace the fans/PSUs anyway.

If you ever have any go out, they're decent temp backups until you get your primaries fixed. Better than nothing. So far, everything I've read about the power supply is that it's decent, not spectacular, but decent enough. It looks like the case and parts come with a 1 year warranty too. Every PSU, I've had, if it makes it past 60 days, it'll last for the life of the computer... if you blow it out from time to time of course.
