Just wonder if anyone has any experience with this or do you recommend it? I'm interested in it because it seems like a very easy way to get set up with a peltier cooling system. They have it over here at sidewinder. I would guess that 90 is a decent price.

I think it is a 78watt pelt. That is 78w at 16 volts, so like 58w att 12volt. I would say that is about addiquit for hmm, maybe a c2 566??

"FOr use with AMD K6, Socket A Duron & Athlon, Intel Celeron PPGA and Pentium III FC-PGA processors

Update: Despite several hardware sites testing this Peltier with Thunderbird chips and getting good results, Swiftech advises against using it on Athlon chips because of their higher power requirements."

Peltiers + AMD + Aircooling = Big Fire.

You cant use a peltier with your AMD if you plan to aircool it. Even the largest HSF will have trouble ridding the heat. That's over 120+W of heat that needs to be removed... I dont think any HSF can handle that. Plus, you're gonna need a 150+W peltier to effectively cool and AMD CPU. I use a peltier with my CPU, but its just a PIII ;)

Yup, water cooling is the only way to go. That's the price you gotta pay for using AMD :) And you everyone thinks AMD is cheaper, blah! :D You'll spend just as much $$$ on cooling the sucker
