Well with the recent rise in memory prices, the cheapest 512 stick of pc3200 memory I could find with a brandname was the one from Kingston (pc3200 cl3 for 83$-15$rebate Kingston Value Ram). Tried googling and came with few results on people's experiences with that particular valueram.

Anyways, I'm building a cheap nforce2 non oc'd system (Biostar M7NCD pro) for a friend and was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with using the value ram from kingston on nforce 2 boards.

Thanks

ps. normally wouldn't ask but I remember reading somewhere about the biostar nforce 2 boards being picky with kingston value ram.

I actually have a M7NCD-Pro and i have 2 sticks of Kingston VR (2x256) and the board accepted them just fine....they run at stock speeds great (PC3200) but dont overclock well. but in your case thats fine! i would recommend KVR for anyone lookin for cheap quality ram.
