How does it work? I need a couple flight tickets and am thinking of doing that name your own price. However, I'm worried that I'll 'name my own price', not find anything, go ahead and order a couple tickets in a couple days, and then have my price accepted in 3 days.

Does that happen? Can I retract my price later? basically, how does it work?

No, if it doesn't get accepted on that try, that's it, no more. The caveat of naming your own price is that you don't know when you're leaving or which carrier you'll get.

I'm a pretty seasoned veteran of PL...I don't try to plan a vacation w/o it. Try biddingfortravel.com as it's been a big help to me. Good luck!

We've used it quite a few times to rent a car. Can usually get one for around $15 a day.

I've used priceline probably 50 or so times, but only for hotels. I've never heard of anyone having too much luck with airline tickets. Especially when you could get some crazy layovers and travel times I've also stuck with purchasing at a good price straight from the airlines.

Edit: When you name your own price it is compared against a database of airlines that have agreed to sell something at a certain price or higher, so it will either be accepted right away or denied. So you don't have to worry about having your bid accepted in 3 days or whatever.
