National:

ebuyer.co.uk
cclonline.co.uk

Local to me in the midlands:

eclipsecomputers.co.uk
ballicom.co.uk - you may need to be trade for ballicom.

I've bought CPUs from overclockers.co.uk and they were OK.

I would avoid dabs.co.uk - if the price is cheap it usualy means they have not got the part. According to some comments on the net hey still take your money though.

Check pricerunner.co.uk to compare prices on common parts.

Its worth checking prices with your local suppliers if buying a name brand. In the case of the 2 I listed there are often cheaper than the 2 national suppliers I gave, and I can pick the goods up so no waiting for delivery.

Strongly suggest you pay by credit card as you have much better rights than if you pay by debit card. If the order does not arrive then you can just get the transaction "charged back" to the supplier.

cheers rob :) i'm going to look into those now. i checked dabs on the site above, review ratings no better than komplett, mostly complaints about returns policies so yeah, i'm going to skip them.

My friends and I have used www.scan.co.uk for six years now, never once a bad product or poor customer service experience. They screw us with delivery prices to Northern Ireland but that's to be expected of mainland UK businesses. www.dabs.com is also pretty good. The best thing about Scan is their Today-Only section, though .

For the record, guys, I'm not sorry about filling the first page of this subforum will all of my last replies :D.

www.ebuyer.com is the only one I'd go so far as to recommend. Huge stock, good prices and reliable. User comments worth reading too, there's lots of the usual stupid comments but say one out of every ten make it well worthwhile.

The downside to ebuyer is they aren't so good with their range of premium parts, though actually they've got better as the site is a bit more consumer orientated (previously was more a trade place really). I've never had to return anything but a friend has, he made a point of saying how good they were (though the part was clearly faulty and he was expecting a fight, YMMV).

Only other one I'd consider using that hasnt already been mentioned is:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/
who seem to specialise in premium parts. Bought a couple of orders from them, no problems.

oh and props to http://www.dorothybradbury.co.uk/ for fans. Website looks awful but I bought a handful of Panaflo's from her a few years ago, one was noisy so she replaced it straight away without me having to send back the duff one.
